Day 1 Arrive Istanbul

On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Tour Istanbul

A fascinating full day tour of the old city includes the Topkapi Palace ; the former imperial residence. Then we will continue to the ancient Roman Hippodrome ; the former center of sportive and political activities of Constantinople. After this we will see Hagia Sophia; the magnificent Byzantine Church of all times; one of the finest and largest architectural works of art in the world. We will continue our Sultanahmet tour with the Blue Mosque; famous for its delicate blue ceramic tiles . After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel. (B)

Day 3 Istanbul to Canakkale

This morning , drive to Gallipolli for a moving tour of the peninsula . Visit the war museum, the landing beach at ANZAC Cove, the Australian WAR Cemetry at Lone Pine and the New Zealand WAR Cemetry at Chunuk Bair. Proceed to Canakkale for overnight. (BD)

Day 4 Canakkale to Kusadasi

Today visit the legendary city of Troy. Cross the Kaz Mountains and drive along the Aegean coast to ancient Pergamum the city where parchment was invented. On top of the hill visit the Ancient city of Acropolis. Continue to Kusadasi for overnight. (BD)

Day 5 Ephesus Tour

Today we will make a short drive and visit Ancient City of Ephesus and explore one of the worlds’s finest Greco-Roman cities. A definite must while in Turkey. Then visit old Greek Sirince village nearby. You will be able to experience one of the most beautiful villages in Turkey. After tour, we will drive back to our hotel in Kusadasi. Return back to your hotel after the tour. (BD)

Day 6 Kusadasi to Marmaris

Depart Kusadasi for Marmaris. En route we will visit Pamukkale and enjoy unique splendor of its cascading hot springs. Drive to ancient Hierapolis and visit the remains as well as terraces nearby. We continue our drive south and check in to our in Marmaris. (BD)

Day 7 Marmaris to Fethiye

Depart Marmaris and arrive Koycegiz where we will take a boat cruise for the famous turtle beach . This is one of the few surviving locations that is like a paradise, being an area of great natural beauty and historical interest. You will have great time to relax in the mud baths today! We continue to our hotel in Fethiye for overnight. (BD)

Day 8 Fethiye

Today we will first visit ancient Kayakoy village. Today Kayaköy village serves as a museum and is a historical monument. Around 500 houses remain as ruins and are under the protection of the Turkish government, including two Greek Orthodox Churches, which remain the most important sights of the ghost town. The will drive to Oludeniz that remains one of the most photographed beaches on the Mediterranean. It has a secluded sandy bay at the mouth of Öludeniz on a blue lagoon.The beach itself is a pebble beach. The lagoon is a national nature reserve and construction is strictly prohibited. You will have leisure time to swim and enjoy the amazing landscape. We will return back to Fethiye in the later afternoon (B)

Day 9 Fethiye to Antalya

Today we drive to Antalya, en route we will be visiting Saklilent Canyon which is the second largest canyon in Europe. You will have unforgettable 3km walking experience at the Saklikent Gorge and there will be lots of great photo opportunities today! We will continue to Antalya crossing the Taurus mountains, upon arrival visit Duden Waterfalls before check into our hotel in Antalya (BD)

Day 10 Antalya to Cappadocia

Drive to Cappadocia. En route first we will visit Aspendos , which has one of the best preserved Roman theatres in the world . We arrive Konya at noon and visit the Whirling Dervishes convent which is now the Mevlana Museum. Before arriving Cappadocia our final visit will be Sultanhan Caravansarai. Arrive Capapdocia in the late afternoon. (BD)

Day 11 Cappadocia

After breakfast start full day excursion in Cappadocia including visits to the Kaymakli which is the biggest underground city where christians lived in fear and faith. Then we will see Goreme Open Air Museum; the first Christianity traces, the first examples of cave Churces and fresques, the biggest cave monastic complex in Anatolia. Finally visit Natural Fortress in Uchisar before transferred back to your hotel. (B)

Day 12 Cappadocia (Adiyaman)

We leave the Land of Beautiful Horses and weird rock formationsand head out across Turkey’s hinterland, along the ancient Silk Road via Kayseri and stopping at Karatay Han before proceeding to Mt Nemrut in Adiyaman. The magnificent funerary monument at the peak of Mt Nemrut stands as a testament to an ancient king’s ambition . Overnight in Kahta. (BD)

Day 13 Kahta(Adiyaman) —Urfa

From Khata we continue to the massive Ataturk Dam and on to Urfa, the ancient city of prophets. Ancient footprints truly mark this part of Turkey; Urfa was the birthplace of the biblical patriarch Abraham. We will visit the cave and shrine where tradition tells us Abraham was born. Nearby are the sacred pools of Abraham filled with sacred carp that are fed by the many pilgrims who visit this holy site and in the late afternoon we will visit Harran with its famous beehive houses and which was mentioned in Genesis as the place where Abraham lived. Overnight in Urfa. (BD)

Day 14 Urfa - Diyarbakır

We depart Urfa and proceed to the ongoing archaeological dig at Gobekli Tepe. Although not widely known amongst the general public Gobekli Tepe is probably one of the most important archaeological sites in the world From Gobekli Tepe, Hill of the Navel, we continue to Diyarbekir. Diyarbakir is another ancient settlement and at 5000 years old is one of the oldest cities in the world. An overwhelmingly Kurdish city Diyarbakir is famed for its ancient city walls; built by the Romans the current walls, built of massive black basalt blocks is, after the great wall of China, the longest continuous defensive wall in the world.. Overnight in Diyarbekir.(BD)

Day 15 Diyarbakır —Mardin - Tatvan

Mardin: located on a high hill overlooking the plains of southern Turkey and Syria. After breakfast, we will visit Deir-Al-Zafaran (the Saffron Monastery), centre of the Syrian Orthodox Patriarchy and still an active monastery. The site of the Saffron monastery has been a sacred place for many hundreds of years an .. After lunch drive to Hasankeyf, situated by the Tigris River; soon tobe submerged under the flood waters of a new dam on the Tigris, Hasankeyf has hundreds of caves, hidden waterways, tombs, a larger and smaller Palace, as well as ruins of the Great Mosque. After Hasankeyf we will drive to Tatvan. Dinner and overnight Tatvan . (BD)

Day 16 Diyarbakır —Tatvan —Van

After breakfast drive to to Van via Akdamar Island where we visit the beautifully restored 10th C Armenian Church of the Holy Cross, or Sourp Khach; built as a part of a palace and religious complex between 915 and 921 by the Armenian King Gagik Ardzruni.. From Akdamar we continue to the city of Van, where we will spend the night. (BD)

Day 17 Van

From Van we travel south for the last leg of our journey along the Silk Road (Ipek Yol) in Turkey. We visit Hosap Castle. The main castle structure of Hosap was built straddling the Silk Road and served as both a means of protecting the road and as a point of charging tolls on travellers..From Hosap we return to Van for lunch ,before ending the day with a visit to the Citadel of Van at sunset. On a large rock outcrop the 3000 year old Urartian castle, once the centre of Tushpa, the Urartian capital, commands wonderful panoramic views of the city of Van, Lake Van and Mt Suphan to the north- west and Mt Nemrut (BD)

Day 18 Van / Return

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight abroad (B)
